Surf Run : Port Elliot, Fleurieu Peninsula

The Surf Run is a coastal running event organised by Adelaide Trail Runners on Sunday, March 15, 2026. The event is based at Horseshoe Bay in Port Elliot on the Fleurieu Peninsula, about 1.5 hours’ drive south of Adelaide. Course direction runs toward Goolwa, roughly 11 km from Port Elliot. All distances start and finish at the Port Elliot Caravan Park.

On the program are multiple race distances:

  • 21.1 km Half Marathon (Long)
  • 15 km (Medium)
  • 10 km (Short)
  • 5 km
  • 2 km Kids Race on Saturday afternoon

All finishers receive a finishers medal including participants in the kids race. The top three male and female finishers in each Sunday event receive winners’ medals. The event also serves as Race number 5 of the 2025-26 Summer Series.

Aid stations are located at each distance turnaround point, approximately at the 2.5 km, 5 km, 7.5 km and 10 km marks. These stations provide water, Huma electrolyte drink, lollie snakes and potato chips. Paper cups will be available but participants are asked to bring their own drinking vessel if possible. Coca Cola is provided only at the 15 km turnaround point. Bib pick-up and a sponsors expo are scheduled for the Saturday at Port Elliot Caravan Park, with bibs also available on race morning.
