Ultra Adelaide - Trail running from the hills to the city
Ultra Adelaide is a multi-distance trail running event in South Australia based at Pinky Flat, Adelaide. Courses follow sections of the Heysen Trail through Kuitpo, Mount Lofty, Cleland, Morialta and Black Hill, then descend along the River Torrens into the Adelaide CBD, finishing near the River Torrens footbridge by Adelaide Oval.

Elevation for each distance is published (for example the 100 mile course shows +4,862 m gain and -5,139 m loss). The 100 mile course includes 11 manned full service aid stations providing water, Tailwind Nutrition, coke, fresh fruit, lollies and crisps. The event operates as plastic free; most runners must carry their own water vessel while the 21 km course has paper cups at two hydration stations and Brookway.
Navigation files (GPX) are mandatory on the Gaia Maps App during the event. Drop bags are allowed for 50K, 100K and 100M only and must be supermarket cooler bag size or smaller, clearly labelled and handed in at check in. Pacers are permitted for the 34K, 50K, 100K and 100M events and must join at designated aid stations; pacers are not permitted for the 21K. Several aid stations have firm cutoffs and there is a finish line cutoff on the published race date. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
