Ultra Adelaide - Trail running from the hills to the city

Ultra Adelaide is a multi-distance trail running event in South Australia based at Pinky Flat, Adelaide. Courses follow sections of the Heysen Trail through Kuitpo, Mount Lofty, Cleland, Morialta and Black Hill, then descend along the River Torrens into the Adelaide CBD, finishing near the River Torrens footbridge by Adelaide Oval.

Elevation for each distance is published (for example the 100 mile course shows +4,862 m gain and -5,139 m loss). The 100 mile course includes 11 manned full service aid stations providing water, Tailwind Nutrition, coke, fresh fruit, lollies and crisps. The event operates as plastic free; most runners must carry their own water vessel while the 21 km course has paper cups at two hydration stations and Brookway.

Navigation files (GPX) are mandatory on the Gaia Maps App during the event. Drop bags are allowed for 50K, 100K and 100M only and must be supermarket cooler bag size or smaller, clearly labelled and handed in at check in. Pacers are permitted for the 34K, 50K, 100K and 100M events and must join at designated aid stations; pacers are not permitted for the 21K. Lofty's Revenge 2026 is a trail event finishing at Mt Lofty Summit with 50 km, 28 km and 10 km options, a 3-person relay for the 50 km, mandatory gear requirements for longer distances and limited 10 km entries.

Trail races at Fox Creek Bike Park near Cudlee Creek with 24 km, 15 km, 8 km and a free kids cross-country. Routes use fire trails and single track, include significant climbs, drink stations and on-course support.

Trail races at Sturt Gorge Recreation Park feature winding single-track, creek crossings and varied terrain through woodland and hills. Distances include 21 km, 15 km, 9 km and a short kids cross country run.

Trail runs through Cleland National Park near Crafers with multiple distances, wildlife and scenic Adelaide Hills views. Drink stations, medals, a kids cross-country run and a UTMB Index long course are part of the event.
