Backyard Everest takes place on 12–13 September 2026. The event offers timed participation options:

Course and format

The course is a repeated loop of about 5.3 km. Each completed loop contains approximately 369 m of vertical gain. Loops are run on an hourly schedule, and the event format is structured so cumulative loops represent repeated ascents; the stated ultimate target is to reach the equivalent of Everest within 24 hours.
