The Barodorf

The Barodorf, also referred to as the Vine to Stein, is a trail running event held in South Australia. The route utilizes portions of the Heysen Trail, connecting lesser-known natural areas between the Barossa Valley and Hahndorf. In 2026, the course starts in the Barossa Valley wine region and traverses through the Adelaide Hills to reach the finish. The event direction alternates annually, providing participants with different elevations and perspectives of the surrounding landscapes.

The primary venue for the event is located at Bethany Reserve on Bethany Road. Experience a military inspired obstacle course set in the rugged landscape of the Barossa. Choose between 5km and 10km distances featuring rope climbs, pontoon bridges, and mud for the ultimate test of teamwork and grit.

Trail races at Fox Creek Bike Park in Lenswood offer fire trail and single track routes to 24 km, steep climbs with summit views, drink stations, medals for placegetters and post run refreshments including the event brownies.

Backyard Everest invites runners to chase big elevation on 5.3 km loops at Black Hill Park with about 369 m climb per lap. Choose 3, 6, 12 or 20 hour entries and add extra laps to push toward the Everest equivalent within 24 hours.

A looped out and back race based at Lyndoch along the Barossa Walking Trail, passing vineyards and a winery start and finish. Multiple distances from 1 km to 63.3 km are offered with staffed aid stations on the loop.
