East Pennine Orienteering Club will hold an urban MapRun event in Greenhead Park, Huddersfield on Sunday 7th December. Registration and map collection are in the Community Room; the start and finish are adjacent to that room. Parking is available on roads adjacent to the park, with entry via gates on Gledholt Road. Terrain includes parkland and urban areas with alleyways, residential streets and pedestrian areas. Competitors take part at their own risk and should report back to the Community Room after completing a course or retiring. The Greenhead Park Café is next to the Community Room.

  • Short Park 1.4km

Under-16s may do Short Park unaccompanied; on other courses under-16s must be accompanied by an adult. The Long and Medium courses use pedestrian subways to access Huddersfield town centre; do not cross the ring road except via the subway. Course Short crosses roads near the park. The event map includes artificial barriers that are not marked on the ground and should not be crossed. The MapRun app (MapRun 7) is recommended for this event. Entries open 10th November via racesignup.co.uk; late and on-the-day entries depend on map availability. Entry fees start from £5 for seniors with a non-member supplement and reduced junior and young adult rates. Results will be published on the EPOC website.
