Burnsall 12K

Burnsall 12K is a trail race organised by Due North and scheduled for Saturday 18 April 2026. The event is supported by The North Face and Sportsshoes.com and is the first race in a three-event trilogy; entering all three saves £7.50 and qualifies runners for the series championship.

The course uses the first section of the Burnsall half marathon with a diversion from Appletreewick that returns to the finish at the riverside car park field in Burnsall Village, close to the Red Lion pub and the village bridge. The race is named 12K but the route measures closer to 11 km; distance is approximate for this trail course.

The race is run under UK Athletics rules and is licensed by the TRA. There is an age restriction of 17 years and over. The course is fully waymarked and on-course provision includes a drinks station offering water, juice, fruit and sweets, plus post race food, a bottle of beer and merchandise or sponsor items. Toilet blocks are located at the top of the main car park and in the smaller car park on the other side of the bridge.

Minimum kit is mandatory and includes a waterproof jacket, a cup or bottle for water since cups are not provided, and a mobile phone with a location app such as OS Locate. Prize categories are awarded to top finishers and veteran age groups. Entry fees are listed as UKA Member £25 and Non-UKA Member £27.
