Desert Wolf is a trail running event held at Flat Creek Crossing Ranch in Johnson City, TX (339 Ulrich Rd). The course runs through ranch terrain and Pedernales Falls State Park, using single-track and wider trail sections with dirty and rocky surfaces.
Distances include:
- 100K
- 50K
- 25K
- 25K RUCK (25 lb minimum)
- 12K
- 5K
The 25K loop has about 1400 ft of elevation gain. Historic average temperatures for the date range from about 65 to 84 degrees. Pacers are permitted on the last two loops of the 100K and on the final loop of the 50K. The ranch does not allow dogs on the property.
Registered finishers receive event gear and awards such as a Desert Wolf tri blend shirt, finisher medals, a 50K finisher buckle, a 100K finisher belt buckle, a 25K ruck patch, first place awards for male and female finishers, and a DFL award for the 100K.
