Course, support and requirements
Surfaces are described as dirty and rocky single-track and wider trail. An elevation gain of 1400 ft is reported for a loop. Aid stations provide cold and hot foods, snacks, water, electrolytes, pickle juice and ice. The first 7.8 miles of the course are remote and have no aid or water stations; other aid stations are placed later on the loop. Drop bag transport to the Coyote Yak aid station is available for 100K and 50K entrants, and participants are responsible for retrieving their bags there after the race. Required gear items include a water carrying system (32-ounce minimum noted for most distances), and additional requirements specified for longer events such as headlamps and phones.
