Salmagundi Trail Race
Salamgundi Trail Race is scheduled for November 7th 2026 near the Pedernales River in the Texas Hill Country at 23610 Hamilton Pool Rd, Dripping Springs, TX 78620.
- 5K - 180' gain; no aid stations
- 10K - 270' gain
- 13.1 mi - 700' gain
- 26.2 mi - 1400' gain, two laps of the half marathon course
- 50K - 1670' gain, two half marathon laps plus the 10K
The course comprises a mix of double track, single track, and jeep trail with scenic overlooks of the Pedernales River and rolling hills. Course maps and an aid station distance chart are provided for each distance.
Post race features include live music and a local food truck. Amenities at the park include port-o-toilets and park restrooms. Tent camping is not allowed. Day use is $5 per person cash and the organizers cover participant park entry. Ranch rules require pets on leash only.
Awards include overall top three finishers male and female, Masters (50+) first place male and female, and first place overall male and female in the 5K Ruck division. All finishers receive a finisher award and custom finisher awards are produced by Southern Forge and Mill.
The event benefits Austin Sunshine Camps, whose mission is to provide the magic of overnight camp without the barrier of cost.
Ruck division rules require a mandatory weigh in before the start and at the finish. Participants under 150 pounds must carry 20 pounds; those over 150 pounds must carry 30 pounds. Weight must be nonconsumable and carried in a ruck or vest. Trekking poles are not allowed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
