Denis Stitt Memorial Fell Race
The Denis Stitt Memorial Fell Race is an open event organised by Holmfirth Harriers and forms part of the club fell championship. It is held from Cartworth Moor Cricket Club (HD9 2TJ) and runs over two laps on marked and marshalled routes.
The course length is 6 km with approximately 370 m of climb. The route uses a mix of bridleways, footpaths, fields, woodland paths and a short section of tarmac. The race format is two laps, and the organisers provide marshals and route marking.
Entry on the day is available for a fee of £7, paid in cash. Prizes are offered across age groups. A bar and food are provided at the event venue after the race. Volunteers are requested to help with the event organisation.
