The Delamere Forest trail races take place on 26 April 2026 at Delamere Forest Visitor Centre, Northwich. The event offers 21k and 42k distances on undulating woodland trails. Course sections pass deep into the forest, around Blakemere Moss, along the Sandstone Trail, and up Old Pale Hill. Each kilometre is marked with distance flags. The event is listed as a UTMB Index race and will be run under UK Athletics rules.

Practical information

Parking is pay and display and is split between the main Visitor Centre carpark and Whitefield Carpark; parking is first come, first serve. There is a 1 mile walk from Whitefield Carpark to the race start. If a race bib has not been received by post, it can be collected from registration in the event village; bib tags are provided. One bag per participant may be left with the event team at the race start. Minimum ages are 17 for the 21k and 18 for the 42k. Mandatory kit includes a GPS watch or phone, at least 250 ml water, hat and gloves, a hooded jacket, and an emergency foil blanket. Organiser information lists recommended items such as trail shoes, a hydration pack, a foldable cup, technical running clothing, and a whistle. Aid stations are provided at regular intervals.
