Delamere Forest Trail Races : 26 April 2026

The event takes place at Delamere Forest Visitor Centre, Northwich CW8 2HZ, on 26 April 2026. Two trail distances are offered:

  • 21K
  • 42K

Course and logistics

Both races use undulating forest trails through Delamere Forest, including sections around Blakemere Moss, along the Sandstone Trail, and over Old Pale Hill with views of the Cheshire countryside. GPX route files are available for both distances. The event village is located at the Delamere Forest Visitor Centre. Parking is pay and display and is split between the main Visitor Centre Carpark and Whitefield Carpark; there is a 1 mile walk from Whitefield Carpark to the race start. Bibs can be collected from registration in the event village if not received by post. One bag per participant may be left at bag drop using the provided bag tag.

Kilometres are marked with distance flags and marshals will guide participants around the course. Aid stations are provided at regular intervals. The race will be held under UK Athletics rules.

Entry, kit and affiliations

Entry fees are shown between £55 and £80. Mandatory kit includes a GPS watch or phone, at least 250 ml of water, hat and gloves, a hooded jacket, and an emergency foil blanket. Recommended items include trail running shoes, a hydration pack, a foldable cup, technical running clothing, and a whistle. The race contributes to the UTMB Index in the corresponding category.
