The Dark Skies Surrey Hills is a night trail running event on 10/01/2026 at Denbies Wine Estate, Bradley Lane, Dorking RH5 6AA. Races take place on trails through the Denbies Estate and surrounding Surrey Hills, described as muddy, rolling terrain. The event is the second race in the Wild Night Run Series and includes adult, Canix and children's races. Entrants will contribute to the Dorking Area Food Bank.

Race details and logistics

A head torch with spare batteries is required. Entrants should wear functional off-road running wear and grippy fell-type shoes; road shoes are not appropriate. Additional suggested kit includes a long-sleeved water resistant top, collapsible cup, mobile phone and waterproof jacket, carried in a bumbag or small rucksack. Registration and timing use the One Time app and reusable RFID shoe tags. There is a cut-off time of 8.30 pm for all races.

Course marking uses reflective arrows, bamboo canes with reflective stickers, flashing red lights and yellow shapes. One feed station with water is located in the public car park on Ranmore Common Rd opposite the Rectory. Toilets are inside the front entrance to Denbies Hall. Parking is available for at least 200 cars. First aid cover and a start/finish first aid tent will be provided.
