Coyote Trail Run

Coyote Trail Run takes place at Cleburne State Park in Cleburne, Texas on April 18, 2026. The event offers multiple trail distances and uses an 8.33 mile loop as the primary course.

  • 50 Mile: six 8.33 mile loops
  • 50K: four 8.33 mile loops
  • 25K: two 8.33 mile loops
  • 8 mile: one 8.33 mile loop
  • 4 mile: one modified loop

Each 8.33 mile loop includes roughly 800 to 1,000 feet of elevation gain, with steep climbs and technical terrain. All races start and finish at the same location within the park.

Aid stations are placed so runners encounter one course aid station per loop; runners completing multiple loops can also use the start/finish aid station. Aid stations provide water, Gatorade, bananas, oranges, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, potato chips, Oreos, fig cookies, soda, Salt Stick and additional items. This is a cupless event; participants must carry a hydration device and a reusable collapsible cup is available for purchase.

Logistics include a park day pass requirement or valid annual pass or camping reservation for entry. Pacers are allowed only for 50 Mile runners on the final loop. Awards include top overall and masters prizes for most distances, finisher medals for all participants, and distance specific medals for the 50K and 25K. A shirt order is guaranteed only if registration is completed at least two weeks before the race. Cancellation policy provides race credit on a tiered schedule and limits refunds and transfers within two weeks of the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
