Coyote Trail Run

Coyote Trail Run takes place on April 18, 2026 at Cleburne State Park in Cleburne, Texas. The event offers multiple trail distances and uses the same start and finish location for all races.

Distances offered:

  • 50 Mile: six loops of the 8.33 mile loop
  • 50K: four loops of the 8.33 mile loop
  • 25K: two loops of the 8.33 mile loop
  • 8 Mile: one 8.33 mile loop
  • 4 Mile: one modified loop

The main loop is 8.33 miles with about 800 to 1,000 feet of elevation gain per loop. The course includes steep climbs and technical terrain and provides views of the park's natural landscape.

Aid stations are staffed by volunteers and supply water, Gatorade, fruit, sandwiches, snacks, electrolyte products, and other items. Runners will pass a single aid station on each loop and may also access the start finish aid station. This is a cupless race; participants must carry a hydration device such as a bottle or hydration bladder. A reusable collapsible cup is available for purchase at packet pickup.

Pacers are allowed only for 50 mile runners on the final loop. Park entry for race day is $6 per person age 13 and older and an annual Texas Park Pass may not be used for race entry. Camping reservations count as park entry. Awards, finisher medals, and race shirts are provided with specific rules for distribution and sizing. Registration and refund policies include race credit rules based on cancellation timing. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
