Course, support and awards

The main loop is 8.33 miles with about 800 to 1,000 feet of elevation gain per loop. Loop counts by distance are:

  • 50 miles - six loops
  • 50K - four loops
  • 25K - two loops
  • 8 miles - one loop

Aid stations are staffed by volunteers and provide water, Gatorade, fruit, sandwiches, snacks, soda, and electrolyte products. Runners will pass a single aid station on each loop; multiple-loop runners can also use the start/finish aid station. This is a cupless race; participants must carry a hydration device and a reusable collapsible cup is available for purchase at packet pickup. Pacers are permitted only for 50-mile runners on the final loop. Awards include top overall and masters (40+) places for most distances; all finishers receive a medal.
