Six-O Trail Run
The Six-O Trail Run takes place at the Six-O Ranch in Cleburne, Texas, a 1,600 acre working cattle ranch on the edge of the Texas Hill Country with more than 20 miles of trail. The course combines single track, dirt ranch roads, several crossings of open fields, and a couple of water crossings. All races run the course in the clockwise direction. Because cattle share the area, participants should follow course markings and respect the ranch property; the ranch is not generally open to the public outside the event.
Distances offered:
- 6 Mile
- Half Marathon (13.3 miles)
- Marathon (26.6 miles)
- 50K (two 15.56-mile loops)
Elevation highlights: the 6-mile loop has about 534 ft of gain. Each 13.3-mile loop has roughly 1147–1174 ft of gain. Each 15.56-mile loop on the 50K has about 1317 ft of gain.
This is a cupless race and all runners must carry a hydration device such as a bottle or bladder. Water, Gatorade, and typical aid station foods are available at aid stations; a reusable collapsible cup is sold at packet pickup. Parking and Friday primitive camping carry fees collected at packet pickup. Drop bags may be left at Start/Finish at the owner’s risk. Pacers and unregistered runners are not allowed. Awards are given at the finish line; finisher medals and race shirts are provided with shirt size guarantees for registrations made two weeks before race day.
