The Mammoth - Glen Rose
The Mammoth is a multi-distance trail running event held at the High Hope Ranch and Eco-Retreat in Glen Rose, Texas. The course explores the Hill Country terrain of a 1,000-acre ranch, providing scenic routes through natural landscapes. Participants navigate well-marked trails consisting of two distinct sections: a 3.5-mile loop and a 7-mile loop. Combined, these sections create a 10.5-mile lap.
The event offers several individual race distances and a non-chip-timed fun run:
- 100K Ultra Trail Run
- 50K Trail Run
- 25K Trail Run
- 10K Trail Run
- 5K Trail Run
- 1K Fun Run (Ages 1-11)
The main race hub and starting line are located at the ranch's main lodge. Two aid stations are positioned along the course, approximately 3.5 miles apart, located at the main lodge and the Matazamo ranch house. The 100K distance features a 26-hour cutoff time and allows for pacers.
This is an environmentally friendly event where runners are encouraged to bring their own bottles. Pets are not permitted on the course due to event policy. Amenities include on-site parking, finisher shirts, and medals for all participants, with buckles specifically for 100K finishers.
