Course, services and logistics

The course uses two loop sections: a 3.5-mile loop and a 7-mile loop; both loops together form a 10.5-mile lap. The starting line and main race hub are at the ranch main lodge. There are two aid stations on course: the main lodge and Matazamo ranch house; aid stations are approximately 3.5 miles apart.

All participants receive a race shirt and a finisher medal; 100K finishers receive finisher buckles. Packet pick-up is on race day at the site. Parking and entrance are included in the price. Overnight tent camping and boondocking are available for a fee of $10 per person, maximum six people per site, payable at the gate. Pets are not allowed. Entry fees are non-refundable, but transfers to another person, category, or Mammoth event are allowed. The event may be altered, delayed, or canceled in case of hazardous weather. Run for the Range on January 31, 2026 at Fall Creek Ranch in Granbury TX. Pick a half marathon, 10K, 5K or Couch Conservationist and enjoy prairies, creek crossings and rolling ranchland while supporting the Texas Agricultural Land Trust.

Run scenic trails at Camp El Tesoro in Granbury on March 6 and 7, 2026 with 5K, 10K and a kids 1K fun run. Finish with chip timing and optional cabin lodging plus a chef prepared Friday night dinner.

Trail races at Cleburne State Park on April 18, 2026 offer distances from 4 miles to 50 miles using 8.33 mile loops with 800 to 1,000 feet of gain per loop. The event is cupless and requires each participant to carry a hydration device.
