Dinosaur Valley Endurance Run

The Dinosaur Valley Endurance Run takes place November 21-22, 2026 at Dinosaur Valley State Park in Glen Rose, Texas. This is the tenth year of the event and it offers multiple trail race distances on the park’s routes.

Available distances include:

• 5 miles
• 25K
• 50K
• 100K
• 100 miles

The course has rolling and sustained ascents and descents across varied terrain, including soft dirt, rocks, and roots. Some sections are technical while other sections are more runnable. The route features overlooks with long views and is described as pretty hilly by Texas standards. There are separate race opportunities for the 25K and 5-mile events across different race sessions; participants must be entered in the specific race they plan to run. A special option called the Mesozoic Maniac rewards athletes who complete the 5-mile race in all three event sessions.

The 100K and 100-mile distances are Western States qualifying events under current qualifying standards: a recorded 100K finish in under 22 hours earns a qualifier and a 100-mile finish in under 35 hours also earns a qualifier. All 100-mile runners receive a recorded 100K split when they pass that point.

The event emphasizes inclusion and diversity, partners with the Trail Mix Fund to help waive entry fees for some applicants, supports volunteers with a credit program for future entries, and has made community donations such as funding a rescue skid for park emergency response.
