Camp Classic Trail Run

Camp Classic Trail Run takes place at Camp El Tesoro in Granbury on January 22-23, 2027. The event is the eighth annual occurrence and offers timed trail races and a separate fun run for children. Walkers and runners are welcome.

Distances:

• 5K
• 10K
• Kids 1K Fun Run (age 12 or younger)

The 5K and 10K start from the same line. The 5K is one lap of the course and the 10K is two laps of the same loop. Mile markers are posted and water stations are located at approximately 1.7 miles; 5K participants pass the station once and 10K participants pass it twice. The course is marked with signs, arrows, and hazard indicators. Strollers are not permitted.

Race timing uses chips included in the race bib; results are available within one to two minutes after crossing the finish line. Trained responders from the local volunteer fire department provide first aid support at the finish line. Awards are given by gender and age groups including overall and masters categories; the awards ceremony is approximately twenty minutes.

Optional weekend upgrades include a Friday night gourmet dinner served in the dining hall and cabin overnight lodging. Cabins are climate controlled, sleep 12 in group-style lodging, are accessible, and include private restroom facilities and a light breakfast. Parking is available on site with attendants assisting.
