Combe Gibbet to Overton Race
Dummer, United Kingdom • 29 Mar 2026
Event
The Combe Gibbet to Overton race is scheduled for Sunday 29 March 2026. It is a multi-terrain point-to-point race that starts at Combe Gibbet and finishes in Overton. The course distance is 16 miles and it runs through Berkshire and Hampshire countryside.
Course and logistics
The route is undulating and includes trails and muddy sections. A GPX file of the route is provided by the organiser. Race entry includes a coach transfer from Overton to the start, transportation of kit back to the finish, and professionally managed road crossings. If ground conditions are unsuitable, an alternative route using about half of the standard course will be used; this alternative does not start at Combe Gibbet, uses more of the Wayfarers Walk, and has limited parking at its start, so most runners are expected to use the coaches. A decision on any course change will be made no later than one week before the race.
Entry and rules
Maximum number of entrants: 250. Minimum age: 18 years. Entries close on 28/03/2026. Entry fees listed are Affiliated £24.00 and Unattached £26.00; entries remaining were shown as 176. Runners must be able to sustain an average pace of 13 minutes per mile so the race can be completed within 3 hours 30 minutes. There are two cut-off points: 8 miles in 1 hour 45 minutes and 12 miles in 2 hours 35 minutes. Headphones, including bone-conducting types, are not permitted.
