Combe Gibbet to Overton Race

Dummer, United Kingdom • 29 Mar 2026

Event details

The Combe Gibbet to Overton race takes place on 29 March 2026. The course is 16 miles of multi-terrain through Berkshire and Hampshire countryside, starting at Combe Gibbet and finishing in Overton. The finish location is Overton Recreation Centre, Bridge Street, Overton. A GPX file of the route is available. Previous results are listed for past years.

Entry, course options and rules

Entries are limited to 250 runners and the minimum age is 18 years. Entry fees are listed as Affiliated £24.00 and Unattached £26.00. Race entry includes a bus transfer from Overton to the start, kit transport back to the finish and professionally managed road crossings.

There is an alternative route if ground conditions are unsuitable. The backup uses about half of the standard course, starts roughly 5 miles along the traditional route, uses more of the Wayfarers Walk and does not start at Combe Gibbet. A decision to switch routes will be made no later than one week before the race, or earlier if required. Limited parking is available at the alternative start, so most runners are expected to use the coaches.

For safety, entrants must be able to sustain an average pace of 13 minutes per mile so the race can be completed within 3 hours 30 minutes. There are two cut-off points: at 8 miles and at 12 miles. Headphones, including bone-conducting types, are not permitted. Transfers between entrants close one day before the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
