Cline Buttes Last Person Standing : Cline Buttes, Redmond, Oregon (May 23, 2026)

This event offers multiple formats on a repeating 3-mile loop around Cline Buttes. The course includes a 0.5-mile climb of about 800 feet to the top of Cline Butte, followed by a downhill section. Runners in time-duration events complete as many laps as they choose. Last Person Standing participants restart the loop at the top of each hour until only one runner remains. The 5k is one lap of the same loop.

Aid station support is located near the start/finish and provides snacks (chips, pretzels, fruit, pickles, cookies, and similar), more meal-style foods later in the Last Person Standing event, and beverages including cola, ginger ale, broths, electrolytes, and instant coffee. Basic supplies such as first aid, sunscreen, bug spray, and feminine hygiene products will be available.

This is a cupless race; runners must bring their own drinking vessel. Paper cups are available only for hot soup or drinks when a collapsible cup is not suitable.

A portion of proceeds will support the Mountain View High School cross-country team in Bend, Oregon. Starting in 2024, Native American and Indigenous runners receive free registration with tribal verification via tribal ID, enrollment documentation, or written tribal acknowledgment. Youth discounts apply for runners 18 and under. Volunteer shifts earn race credit, with fuller credit for longer volunteer commitments.
