The Cline Buttes race takes place near 67585 SW Cline Falls Rd, Redmond, OR. The event offers multiple formats:

A portion of proceeds supports the Mountain View High School cross-country team in Bend, Oregon. The event includes discounts: free entries for Native American / Indigenous runners, 50% discounts for veterans, active military, and first responders, and youth discounts for those 18 and under (20% off for the 5k; 50% off for distances above 5k). The event includes a land acknowledgement noting historic ties of the Nuumu (Northern Paiute) people.
Course and logistics
The course is a roughly 3 mile loop with a 0.5 mile climb that gains about 800 feet to the top of Cline Butte, followed by a downhill return to the start/finish. Participants in the timed events repeat the loop as many times as they choose. Last Person Standing participants begin a loop on each hour and continue until one runner remains.
There is one aid station near the start/finish with snack foods, meal options during the later hours, and beverages including cola, ginger ale, broths, and electrolyte packets.
