Cline Buttes Last Person Standing

Redmond, United States • 23 May 2026

Event Overview

The Cline Buttes Last Person Standing event offers several timed race options on a loop course. Participants can choose from a 3-hour, 6-hour, or 12-hour event, a Last Person Standing format, or a single-loop 5k run. All events start together. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Cross-Country team at Mountain View High School in Bend, Oregon.

Course Details

The race takes place on a 3-mile loop course. Each loop features a 0.5-mile climb with 800 feet of elevation gain to the top of Cline Butte, followed by a downhill section. Runners in the timed events complete as many laps as they wish within their chosen duration. Last Person Standing participants must start a new loop at the top of every hour, continuing until only one runner remains. The 5k event consists of one loop. The event location offers views of the Three Sisters Wilderness and the central Oregon desert.

Aid Station and Amenities

A single aid station is located near the start/finish area. It provides a variety of food and beverages, including chips, fruit, quesadillas, pizza, Coca-Cola, broth, LMNT electrolytes, and instant coffee. The station also offers miscellaneous supplies such as first aid items, sunscreen, bug spray, and menstrual products. A breakfast buffet is served at the conclusion of the 12-hour event.
