Cline Buttes is a nighttime trail event held near 67585 SW Cline Falls Rd, Redmond, OR. The event uses a single loop course of 3 miles that includes a 0.5-mile climb gaining about 800 feet to the top of Cline Butte, followed by a downhill return. The site offers views of the Three Sisters Wilderness to the west and the central Oregon desert to the east.
Distances and formats
- 5k - single loop
- 3-hour - repeat loop as desired
- 6-hour - repeat loop as desired
- 12-hour - repeat loop as desired
- Last Person Standing - new loop starts each hour until one runner remains
Support, food and awards
One aid station will be located near the start/finish. Aid station supplies include snacks, meal-style foods later in the event, and a variety of beverages and electrolytes. A breakfast buffet will be provided to participants in 2026. Awards are given for 1st-3rd in female, male, and non-binary categories for the 5k and for the 3/6/12-hour events.
Other notes
A portion of proceeds will support the Mountain View High School cross-country team in Bend, Oregon. Registration discounts include free entries for Native American / Indigenous runners, a 50% discount for veterans, active military, and first responders, and youth discounts for those 18 and under.
