The loop includes a 0.4 mile climb that gains about 800 feet to the top of Cline Butte, followed by a downhill return. The location offers views of the Three Sisters Wilderness to the west and the central Oregon desert to the east.
Event formats include:
- Last Person Standing
- 24 hour
- 12 hour
- 6 hour

Last Person Standing participants begin each loop at the top of the hour and continue until only one runner remains; the final winners in male, female, and non-binary categories receive $150 each. Hourly hot laps award $20 to the first finisher that hour. Time-duration entrants may complete as many laps as they choose within their selected window. The 5k consists of a single lap.
There will be one aid station near the start/finish offering snacks and meals such as chips, fruit, pickles, boiled potatoes, grilled cheese, pizza and burgers, plus beverages including cola, ginger ale, broths, electrolytes, and coffee. Miscellaneous supplies will include first aid items, sunscreen, bug spray, feminine hygiene products, and vaseline.
A portion of proceeds supports the Mountain View High School cross-country team. Entry discounts include free registration for Native American and Indigenous runners and youth discounts for participants under 18. The race acknowledges the Nuumu (Northern Paiute) peoples as traditional stewards of the land. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
