Chicago Yeti 7-11 Hour Endurance Run
The Chicago Yeti 7-11 Hour Endurance Run is a timed trail event offering two timed-duration options:
- 7-hour endurance run
- 11-hour endurance run
Racing is conducted on a looped course with a loop length of 4 miles. The event takes place at Wolf Road Woods in Willow Springs, Illinois, within the Palos Preserves.
Course, aid, and event policies
The course includes single-track and double-track sections through restored forest and historic Palos Preserves, rolling hills, and some quick runnable stretches. Course markings are provided. The route passes near pond areas and a historical reactor site and has a GPX file available.
An aid station is provided with a mix of solid snacks and drinks, including hot dogs, candy, baked goods, crackers and chips, water, and electrolyte drinks. Participants are required to bring a reusable cup because the event operates without disposable cups.
Timing and lap counting are managed by a professional timing provider with live lap counting and real-time results. Entry and inclusion policies state that declared gender is accepted at registration and accommodations for athletes with disabilities are allowed within course constraints. Athletes with mobility devices for wheelchairs are noted as not suitable for the trail course. The event does not offer refunds, deferrals, or transfers.
