Course and aid

The course is a loop through the Palos Preserves. Loop Length: 4 miles. Trail features described include single-track sections under restored forest canopy, double-track through historic preserves, rolling hills, and runnable sections. The course is marked. The event includes a central aid station stocked with water, electrolyte drinks, and a variety of packaged snacks listed by the organizer, and participants may bring personal coolers for specific dietary needs.

Equipment, accessibility and policies

This is a cupless event; each participant must bring a reusable cup. The organizer’s AWD (Athletes With Disabilities) criteria state that entrants must be able to run the course; tethers may be used for visual impairment, prosthetics are permitted, and crutches, braces, or poles may be allowed with race director approval. The course is not considered suitable for wheelchairs. The event has a stated refund policy that does not allow refunds, deferrals, or transfers. The organizer accepts entrants’ declared gender for registration and provides options for non-binary entries to have records amended.
