The Summer Trail Classic is a trail running event held at Paul Douglas Forest Preserve in Hoffman Estates on August 23, 2026. It is the third of four events in the 2026 Dick Pond Athletics Darn Tough Trail Race Series and benefits the Chicago Area Mountain Bikers (CAMBr).

The course uses single-track trails described as twisting and turning. The trail will be closed at 11:00am and support on all courses will be removed at 12:00 Noon.
There are three water stations along the course; participants are advised to carry additional fluids or nourishment as needed. On-course protocol includes calling out “on your left” when passing and passing on the left. Wearing fully over-ear headphones or two earbuds is not allowed; at least one ear must remain open. Stopping to assist an injured runner and notifying race officials are required if an injured person is encountered.
Registered participants receive a Leslie Jordan running vest; vest sizes cannot be exchanged after ordering. Overall male and female champions receive engraved wood awards, and age-group awards are given across the listed age categories. Entry includes automatic raffle entry; winners must be present to claim prizes.
