Autumn 100
The Autumn 100 is a 100 mile (161 km) continuous trail race based in the twinned villages of Goring and Streatley on the River Thames. The route is made up of four 25 mile out and back spurs that use sections of both the Ridgeway and Thames Path National Trails and return to Goring between each leg. The sequence of spurs covers Thames Path to Little Wittenham, Ridgeway to Swyncombe Farm, Ridgeway to Chain Hill and Thames Path to Reading.
The course profile shows about 5,000 ft (1,500 m) of elevation and a mixture of trail and road terrain, with approximately 80% trail and 20% road. The event is held under a UK Athletics permit and is marked by National Trail waymarkers alongside Centurion reflective ribbons and arrows. There are 16 staffed aid stations offering hot drinks on later legs, a range of sports nutrition and options suitable for vegetarian, vegan and gluten free diets. Drop bags are available at the Goring turnaround at miles 25, 50, 75 and 100 and must be under thirty litres.
Entries open on 8 November 2025 and close on 28 September 2026. Entrants must be at least 20 years old and meet a qualification requirement of a minimum 50 mile race completed within 15 hours in the specified qualifying period. The field is limited; the published number of starters is 250 and the overall finish cut off is 28 hours. Pacers are permitted only from mile 75 on the final leg and crew access to aid stations is not allowed. Mandatory kit is required at all times and random checks are enforced, with a one hour penalty for missing items. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
