The Autumn 100 is a 100 mile (approximately 161 km) continuous trail race based in the twinned villages of Goring and Streatley on the River Thames. The route consists of four 25 mile out-and-back spurs that use sections of the Ridgeway and Thames Path National Trails and return to Goring & Streatley after each spur. Total elevation is listed as 5,000 ft (about 1,500 m). Terrain is a mix of trail and road, approximately 80% trail and 20% road. The published cut-off for the event is 28 hours. The event date is 17 Oct 2026 and the field is limited to 250 starters.
Logistics, support and rules
There are 16 fully stocked aid stations offering a range of foods and drinks, including vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options. Drop bags may be accessed at Goring at miles 25, 50, 75 and 100; each bag must be under 30 litres. Pacers are permitted only from mile 75 for the final 25 mile leg and handovers are only allowed at the race HQ in Goring. Crews are not permitted. A medical team will be available on course; runners are expected to be self-sufficient at times. Mandatory kit must be carried at all times and includes a charged mobile phone, 1 litre water capacity, survival blanket, waterproof jacket, whistle, headtorch and backup light (minimum 100 lumens each), warm hat, gloves, long-sleeved spare layer and a cup.
