Centurion Autumn 100
The Autumn 100 is a 100 mile continuous trail race organized by Centurion Running. The event is based in the villages of Goring and Streatley in Oxfordshire, situated along the river Thames. The course is designed in the shape of a cross, consisting of four distinct 25 mile out and back spurs that utilize sections of the Ridgeway and the Thames Path National Trails.
Participants follow four specific routes starting and ending in Goring:
- 25 miles on the Thames Path to Little Wittenham and back.
- 25 miles on the Ridgeway to Swyncombe Farm and back.
- 25 miles on the Ridgeway to Chain Hill and back.
- 25 miles on the Thames Path to Reading and back.
The route is characterized as flat and fast, particularly during dry conditions. Participants must be prepared for autumn weather, including the possibility of low temperatures, wind, rain, and approximately 13 hours of darkness. The event is held under a UK Athletics Permit through the TRA and serves as a Western States Qualifier.
Support for runners includes 16 aid stations stocked with supplies, course marking alongside existing National Trail markers, and full medical support. The minimum age for entry is 20 years old. Registration is managed through an online system with a standard entry fee and a discounted rate for UKA members. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
