Calderglen Family Run of Colour - Calderglen Country Park

The Calderglen Family Run of Colour is a non-competitive family event organised by South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture on 26 July 2026 at Calderglen Country Park, East Kilbride. The event follows a mainly 2 km route that combines grass sections and trail paths near the children’s playpark, down to Horseshoe Falls, along the trail to Torrance Linn and back to the main lawn, weather and ground conditions permitting. Participants may complete the route once or twice.

The event is designed as a family fun run with no winning prizes or official race times. The course is not suitable for prams or buggies so young children should be able to complete the route on foot.

All registered participants receive a white t-shirt, a bag of colour powder for the start, a finisher’s medal, a bottle of water and a snack at the finish. Registration opens 9 March 2026 and closes 23 July 2026. Entry fees are listed as Adults £18, Juniors (under 16) £9, and Family ticket (two adults and two juniors) £45.

Parking is available in the main car park of Calderglen Country Park. Toilets and changing facilities are located adjacent to the playpark, within the visitor centre (zoo entrance), and in the courtyard café. There are no locker storage facilities, but bags can be left in the gazebo storage area on the main lawn.

Photography and video recording may take place and can be used by the organiser and sponsors for promotional purposes. Participants can request not to be photographed at registration or on the day and an opt-out wristband can be provided. Media will be stored securely and retained for up to three years.
