By Way of The Glen is a challenging 170-mile foot race from Glasgow to Inverness, combining two of Scotland's iconic long-distance trails: the West Highland Way and the Great Glen Way. Starting at Milngavie Train Station, runners have 28 hours to complete the 94-mile West Highland Way section before transitioning via a short tarmac link to the 72-mile Great Glen Way at Neptune's Staircase. The course features a total ascent of approximately 24,000 feet and is fully marked with waymarks and arrows. Checkpoints along the route allow for support crew access and drop bag retrieval.
