Brooksvale 12-Hour

The Brooksvale 12-Hour is a timed running event in Hamden, Connecticut held on June 27, 2026 at 524 Brooksvale Avenue. The course is a somewhat runnable loop of 4.25 miles with about 500 feet of elevation gain each loop. The event format is a 12 hour timed effort.

Participants can plan for standard endurance distances by completing multiple loops. Distances and loop counts include:

  • 4.25 mile loop with 500 feet gain
  • Marathon distance via six loops
  • 50K via eight loops
  • 50 mile target distance

There is an aid station every 4.25 miles so runners can test fueling, pacing, and gear during the event. The event is also presented as a training opportunity for longer races later in the season and a place to try running without a personal crew.

A portion of race proceeds will benefit the Brooksvale Gift Fund, which supports park trail maintenance. Another portion will go to an additional charity to be determined. Registered entrants who sign up before June 14 receive a Bella+Canvas tri blend shirt, and finishers receive a handmade Ragged Cuts finisher medal along with other awards and food provided at the event.

Registration closes June 26, 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
