Brooksvale 12-Hour

The Brooksvale 12-Hour is a timed, endurance event held in Hamden, CT on June 27, 2026. The course is a somewhat runnable loop of 4.25 miles with about 500 feet of gain each loop. The event runs for 12 hours and tests sustained pacing; the organizer references a 14:23 pace as a target for a 50-mile attempt over the time limit.

Participants may complete multiple loops to reach common distances: six loops for a marathon distance and eight loops for a 50k. An aid station is available every 4.25 miles, which is intended for refueling and trialing race nutrition and gear. The event is also described as suitable for use as a long training run ahead of later season races, including longer ultramarathons.

Proceeds from the event support the Brooksvale Gift Fund for trail maintenance, with an additional portion allocated to another charity to be determined. Registered participants who sign up before June 14 may receive a Bella+Canvas tri-blend shirt. Finisher recognition includes a handmade Ragged Cuts medal and other awards, and the event provides substantial food for participants. Registration closes Friday, June 26 at 11:59 PM ET.
