Registration is open from May 18 until race day or until the entry limit is reached. Entry fees are tiered: $60 before September 1, $65 before October 1, and $75 thereafter. All entrants receive a goodie bag with a bib number and race shirt. Finishers who complete the course within the designated 10-hour limit receive a finisher award. Additional awards are given to the overall male and female finishers. The event is run as a not-for-profit; all proceeds are donated to local land conservation charities.

Course and requirements

The course passes through several inter-connected woodland preserves in southern Connecticut and consists entirely of rolling forest roads and single-track trails that can be extremely rocky. The route does not require repeated laps of the same loop. The race is intended for experienced runners; the organizer recommends recent completion of a road or trail marathon before entering. The event uses aid station cutoffs and relies on volunteer support for aid stations and course sweeping. The race acknowledges support from local conservation commissions, land trusts, town agencies, and the Regional Water Authority. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
