Run the Vineyards - Pindar Fall 8K

This running event takes place on October 4, 2026, at Pindar Vineyards in Peconic, New York. Participants can choose between an 8K or a 5K course. Both routes lead through the vineyard's property.

The course is described as flat, using mostly hard-packed dirt trails and short-cut grass. Registration is required to participate. The event uses professional chip timing with live-streamed results.

Registration includes a custom tech t-shirt, with an option to upgrade to a long-sleeve version for an extra fee. There are water stations on the course, and water and bananas are provided at the finish line. Award medals are given to the top three overall finishers and to age group winners. Finisher medals are available for purchase.

After the race, there is a gathering that includes one glass of Pindar wine, a 15-ounce stemless wine glass, live music until 12 PM, and on-site food trucks. An awards ceremony is held, and free downloadable photos are offered later. The event states it supports the NY Cancer Foundation.

Packet pick-up occurs on race day between 7:30 AM and 8:30 AM. The event is held rain or shine, with a stated policy of no transfers or refunds. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
