Run the Vineyards - Pindar Fall 5K and 8K
Run the Vineyards at Pindar Vineyards in Peconic, NY presents two marked courses through vineyard property on a mix of hard packed dirt trails and short cut grass. The event supports the NY Cancer Foundation and takes place on October 4, 2026 on the Pindar Vineyards grounds.
Distances:
- 5K Walkers welcome; must register and start behind runners.
- 8K Run only; walkers asked to register for the 5K.
The race uses professional chip timing with live streamed results. Water stations are provided on course and water and bananas are available at the finish. Participant options include a custom tech tee with an optional long sleeve upgrade; souvenir finisher medals are available for purchase during registration or on race day. Awards are given to the top three overall and to age group winners for male and female categories, with age brackets starting at 14 and below and continuing in 10 year increments.
After the event there is an on site after party with a complimentary glass of Pindar wine for those 21 and over, a stemless wine glass, live music, and food trucks including Dilly Dilly Donuts. Parking is on site and free. The event proceeds rain or shine; there are no transfers or refunds. Packet pick up occurs on race day at the Good Day for a Run tent behind the winery. Time limits are requested for safety: 1 hour for 5K walkers and 1 hour 40 minutes for 8K runners. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
