The Angry Tortoise 25K/50K is a trail run held in Cary State Forest near Bryceville, FL, on the outskirts of Jacksonville. The 2026 edition is the event's 13th anniversary. Distances offered:

The race uses forest roads through flatwoods and includes well-supported aid stations. There is an eight-hour cut-off for both distances. Participants receive a race shirt (not guaranteed for registrations after 12:00pm on 01 February 2026) and finisher awards. Lunch is provided to runners after the race.
Logistics and awards
The start/finish area is near restroom facilities that include a free hot shower for male and female participants. Awards are given in each distance to first, second and third overall male and female; first male and female masters (40-49); first male and female grandmasters (50-69); and first male and female senior grandmasters (70 and over). Proceeds from the race support the Florida Striders Kids' Running Programs. Registration closes Sun, Feb 22 at 11:59PM ET. A race video and a course map are available for reference.
