The Angry Tortoise 25K/50K is a trail running event held in the flatwoods of Cary State Forest near Bryceville, FL, on the outskirts of Jacksonville. The race takes place on forest roads and is described as a flat course with well-supported aid stations.

The event marks the 14th anniversary in 2027 and includes race shirts, finisher awards, and postrace lunch. Awards are given for first through third overall male and female, and for age categories including masters (40-49), grandmasters (50-69), and senior grandmasters (70 and over) in both distances. There is an eight-hour cut-off for each distance. Cary State Forest provides a free hot shower in the male and female restrooms located near the start/finish area.

Proceeds from the event support the Florida Striders Kids' Running Programs. Registrants after 01 February 2026 may not be guaranteed their preferred race shirt size; the organizer orders extra shirts and will attempt to accommodate late registrants. A timed loop event in Jacksonville, FL on July 18, 2026 offering 3, 6, 9 and 12 hour options on a 1.25 mile flat paved loop with an aid station, on-site food, a 4-person relay option for the 6-hour, and ruck rules.

Five hours of repeating a 2.5 mile one-way single-track on Section 4 near Middleburg, FL, with limited support, cupless rules, and a small field capped at about 40 to 45 participants.

Timed running and rucking on a 2.75 mile loop through Sandridge Trail in Jennings State Forest. Multiple timeframes and a 9K option with cupless aid stations and proceeds supporting local recovery organizations.

A community 5K, 10K and one-mile run/walk on the Emerald Trail in Jacksonville supporting Groundwork Jacksonville. Courses use the LaVilla Link and S-Line Rail Trail and include chip timing, custom shirts and finisher medals.
