S.O.S. in Middleburg, FL

S.O.S. is a multi-format trail event held on the Sandridge Trail in Jennings State Forest near Middleburg, Florida. The event runs on an approximately 2.75 mile loop and offers both distance and timed formats on the same course.

There is a well stocked aid station at the start/finish area and a hydration-only station at about 1 to 1.25 miles on the loop. This is a cupless event; participants must bring their own water bottle, hydration vest, bladder, or collapsible cup. Volunteers will fill containers and hydration igloos will be sanitized per posted COVID protocols. Vehicles may access the start/finish area and there is space for canopies and tents.

Post-run food and treats are provided, including hot items such as bacon, quesadillas, burgers, hot dogs, brats, and chorizo and egg burritos. Awards and swag include custom medals, Slow A$$ awards, and sponsor giveaways from companies such as LMNT Electrolytes and Trail Toes. A portion of proceeds will go to local recovery-related nonprofits, including Sombrero Outreach Foundation and a Jacksonville sober living facility. Registration closes Fri, Sep 11 at 11:59 PM ET.
