This ain't your Mothers 50k & Trail Marathon

This event takes place in Middleburg, Florida, on the Pioneer Trail within Jennings State Forest. The trail is mostly single track, created in 2019, and includes waterfalls, walkover stream crossings, and vistas along the Black Creek ravines. Sections of the trail vary in style and difficulty; Section 4 is a 2.7 mile portion with notably vertical and technical terrain for the region.

Race formats offered:

• 50K - out-and-back that traverses all trail sections and includes an out-and-back of Section 5
• Trail Marathon - out-and-back that follows the main course and traverses multiple trail sections
• 12K - follows first 6 miles of the marathon course and returns on the Dunns Farm trail
• 7K - follows the Dunns Farm trail, the 4 way loop, and finishes on the Sawyer trail

The 50K has an 11 hour time limit and the marathon has a 10 hour time limit. There are aid stations approximately every 2.5 to 3 miles offering water, electrolyte nutrition such as Tailwind or Skratch, and standard ultra fare. The event is cup less, so participants need their own hydration systems. Porta potties will be available at the turnaround/drop bag site and at the start and finish. Course maps and GPX files are provided. Awards include overall top three in each race, Masters awards starting at age 50, and a finishing award for last place in each division.
