Course and trail description

The courses use the Pioneer Trail system, created in 2019 and mostly single track. The Cross Cut section is about 2.5 miles of flat, scenic single track. Section 4 is about 2.7 miles and contains more vertical and technical terrain with vistas overlooking Black Creek. Section 1 is the southern terminus and is a flat, scenic 2.5-mile portion that leads to the Indian Ford turnaround. The marathon starts at the Dunns Farm Trailhead and follows the Cross Cut into Section 4, then joins the pink-blazed trail through Mt. Reagan and the Section 1 area. The trail includes walkover stream crossings and several vistas along the Black Creek ravines. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
