Sombrero Ultra Running Festival (SURF)

Sombrero Ultra Running Festival is a multiday ultrarunning event in Middleburg, FL at the Clay County Regional Sports Complex. The festival features timed endurance race formats, a runner village with space for canopies and tents, vendor presence, and on site food service during the event.

Available race formats include:

  • 3 hour event
  • 6 hour event
  • 12 hour event (day)
  • 12 hour event (night)
  • 24 hour event
  • 48 hour event

The event uses professional timing services and permits pacers only for the 24 hour and 48 hour formats after a runner has been on course for 12 hours; pacers must register with race staff. There is a single aid station located at the start and finish area; this is a cupless race so all runners must bring their own bottles, hydration vests, bladders, or collapsible cups. Aid station offerings include water, electrolytes, soda, fruit, hot food and other standard ultra fare.

Organizers plan on medical personnel on site throughout the full event and on elevated foot care services. RV parking is allowed without hookups and carries a small onsite fee payable in cash or electronic payment. There are no refunds for this event. To guarantee a custom technical shirt, register by 1/23. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
