Sombrero Ultra Running Festival (SURF)

Sombrero Ultra Running Festival is a multi-format timed running event held at the Clay County Regional Sports Complex in Middleburg, FL, near Jacksonville. The festival includes vendors, on-site food options, music, and a runner's village with space for canopies, tents, and crews. RV parking is allowed without hookups; an RV fee of $15 is collected on site. There are no refunds for entries.

Medical and foot-care support will be available on site for the full 48-hour period, including experienced emergency medicine and physical therapy personnel and a dedicated foot-care team. The event follows sanitation protocols at aid stations, where volunteers will sanitize hydration igloos. This is a cupless race; all runners must bring their own bottles, hydration vests, or collapsible cups.

Custom technical shirts are offered; to guarantee a shirt participants must be registered by 1/23. Awards include belt buckles and medals. Pacers are permitted only for the 24-hour and 48-hour formats after runners have completed 12 hours; pacers must register with race staff and exceptions are considered case-by-case.
