Event Overview
The Festivus 100/50 Miler Trail Run takes place in Middleburg, Florida. This event features a variety of trail distances held on a scenic loop course within a local state forest area. The race is known as the longest trail race in the Northeast Florida region.
Course Information
The course consists of a 7.2-mile loop with 225 feet of elevation gain and loss per lap. Participants navigate a landscape featuring long leaf pines, palmettos, and two footbridges. Wildlife such as deer, birds, and squirrels are frequently seen along the trail. The course is heavily marked and remains illuminated for safety during night hours. Runners starting a new loop after 5:00 PM are required to use a headlamp.

Support and Logistics
This is a cupless race, and participants must carry their own hydration systems. There are two main aid stations: one at the start/finish line and the Campground Aid Station at the 4-mile mark. These stations provide water, electrolyte drinks, and hot food options including quesadillas, chili, and burgers. An unmanned hydration station is also located at the 2-mile mark.
A Runners Village is established near the start/finish line for participants to set up tents and canopies. For the 100 Miler, pacers are permitted after the 50-mile mark. Runners over 60 years of age may have a pacer at any time.
Amenities and Awards
The venue includes permanent bathroom facilities with running water and a large pavilion with picnic tables. Finishers receive a custom medal, and those completing the 100 Miler within the 38-hour time limit receive a custom buckle. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
