Festivus 100/50 Miler Trail Run
The event is scheduled for December 5–6, 2026 in Middleburg, FL at 2A Live Oak Lane and is organized by Sombrero Running. It offers multiple trail distances:
- 100 Miler
- 50 Miler
- 35 Miler
- 14 Miler
- 7 Miler
Runners complete a scenic 7.2 mile loop with about 225 feet of elevation gain and loss. Participants may choose to run 14, 7, 5, 2, or 1 loops. Runners who start a new loop after 5pm must carry a headlamp. Course markings will be clear and illuminated. Drop-downs between distance divisions are allowed but dropped divisions are not eligible for awards.
Cutoff times are published for each distance: 100 miler 38 hours, 50 miler 38 hours, 35 miler 18 hours, 14 miler 8 hours. Pacer rules apply: pacers are allowed for the 100 mile event after 50 miles, runners over 60 may have a pacer at any time, and only one pacer is allowed at a time. No pacers are permitted for the 14, 35, or 50 mile distances.
The race operates cupless; runners must bring a handheld bottle or hydration pack. Aid stations include a main station with water, electrolyte drink, hot food, and snacks, a fully stocked campground aid at the 4 mile mark, and an unmanned hydration station at the 2 mile mark. Ten campsites run through the loop; campsite reservations are limited, cost $30 for the weekend, and are available only to 100 mile entrants.
