Beast Race is a 10 km obstacle course in Banchory, Scotland on 12 September 2026, featuring hill climbs, water obstacles, island crossings and heavy mud. Regular entry is sold out and entry is currently by charity or corporate code only.

Fyvie Castle hosts a multi terrain 5 km race plus 1600 m and 800 m trail runs on dates in 2026. Chip timing, medals and age specific rules are in place and refreshments will be available at the castle.

A single loop trail marathon in the Cairngorms National Park on 20 September 2026. The 26.2 mile course is about 80% trail and 20% road, starting and finishing in Kingussie with a finisher medal, T shirt, on site food and prizes.

October 2026

Take on the Bennachie Ultra Marathon, a scenic yet demanding 50k across Bennachie peaks with over 5000 ft of climb on trails and moorland. Limited pre entry places make this October classic a must for experienced trail runners.

Experience a point to point 10k trail run through Elchies woods and the Mannoch Road. This scenic route concludes at the Cardhu Distillery where participants over 18 can enjoy a complimentary dram.

A Speyside running event offering marathon, half-marathon, 10 km and a four person relay along the Speyside Way, with distilleries on the route and whisky miniatures available at the finish.

November 2026

A 50 km trail race on 7 November 2026 following the Dava Way from Grantown-on-Spey to Forres, mostly on the old Highland Railway line. Mixed woodland and moorland terrain, Dava Summit climbs, 300 entries and an 8 hour cutoff.

Knockfarrel Hill Race on 7 November 2026 is an 8 km hill race with 300 m of climb, with day-of-event registration at Strathpeffer Community Centre replacing the previous Shinty Pavilion location.

A festive trail running event within the private grounds of Glamis Castle in Angus. Distances include a family 1 mile plus 5 mile and 10 mile runs, with Canicross allowed except in the family mile.

January 2027

A trail running festival on 3 January 2027 through Glenmore Forest finishing at Loch Morlich beach, offering 5.6 km and 11.2 km races with chip timing, finisher medals, home baking and prizes; dogs are allowed on leads.
