Trail Running calendar near Woodbridge 2026-2027

Stort30 is a scenic 30 mile out and back ultramarathon along the River Stort and Lee navigations on the Hertfordshire and Essex border. Mostly flat riverside trails with aid stations and medals make this a friendly ultrarunning challenge.

Join Zig Zag Running at Ferry Meadows for Pumpkin Plod, a 4 or 6 hour timed loop to log road or ultra distances on a scenic 5.3 km mixed terrain lap. Water each lap, a finisher medal and virtual entry make this a flexible autumn challenge.

Join a devilish 6.66 km Halloween trail at Brewery Fields, Great Baddow on 31 October, a fun fancy dress event rather than a race. Limited to 50 places, finishers get a medal, drink and costume prizes and a GPX route is provided.

Join a Remembrance Sunday trail run in Brightlingsea on 8 Nov 2026 with live Last Post, Reveille and a two minute silence. Traffic free loops offer 10k to marathon and a 6hr timed challenge with on course aid.

Two winter ultramarathons along the Weavers' Way finish at Cromer Pier, offering 50 km from Stalham or 100 km from Great Yarmouth. GPX navigation is required, entries are limited, and strict time limits apply.

New winter ultramarathon on 5 December 2026, the St Edmund Way Ultra covers 80 miles across Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk. Expect remote winter terrain, tracker support and strict mandatory kit for a true long distance challenge.
