Roman Rampage
Roman Rampage is a multi-lap off-road event held in Friday Woods on private military land. The core route is a 3 mile loop; entrants may complete one, two, or three laps. The course follows woodland trails and uneven ground and is described as hilly, muddy, and wet.
Entrants may enter in one of three categories: run, TAB, or canicross with a dog. TAB entrants must provide their own rucksack packed to 35 lbs; the rucksack weight is checked at the start and finish. Boots for the TAB element must provide full ankle support. Race numbers and timing chips are issued at registration on race day, and timing chips must be attached to laces using the ties provided. Medals are distributed after the finish line.
Entrants must be aged 16 or over. A separate junior event, PARAS’2Future, offers a 2 mile race for participants aged 10 to 15. Organisers note that the route is not available to preview before race day and that a new team challenge is planned for 2027.
The event is organised by SUPPORT OUR PARAS as part of the PARAS’10 series. Parking, temporary toilets, water on the route, and marshals are provided at the race arena. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
