Roman Rampage

Roman Rampage is a PARAS'10 event held in Friday Woods. The main course is a 3-mile loop on woodland trails with uneven, hilly ground. Entrants may complete one, two, or three laps of the loop.

The course includes themed obstacles and sections named the Pendulum, the swamps of Sierra Leone, and the Green Zone. Conditions are expected to include mud and wet terrain. The event offers multiple participation formats: run, TAB, and canicross.

TAB entrants must provide their own rucksack packed to 35 lbs; the weight is checked at the start and finish. Medals are issued at the finish area. Temporary toilets are available near the start and finish; showers are not provided.

A separate youth race of 2 miles is organised for participants aged 10 to 15 years. A new team challenge is planned for 2027. A suggested training plan is available for Roman Rampage to help entrants prepare for the course and its specific demands.

Distances:

  • 3-mile loop (one to three laps)
  • 2-mile youth race (ages 10 to 15)

The event is open to participants aged 16 and over for the main race formats. The route runs on private land and is only available on race day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
