A single-lap, chip-timed trail race of about 7 miles through Adel Woods, Scotland Woods and Meanwood Park near Leeds. Organised by Valley Striders AC with prize categories for overall and masters age groups and limited entries.

Take on the Trunce 8, a classic Peak District fell race starting and finishing at Oxspring Playing Field. The 6.2 km route climbs 190 m and entry is on the day for £3, with a junior 3 km race for over 10s at £1.

Tackle Roseberry Topping on Wed 26 Aug 2026 in this classic short fell race hosted from Newton under Roseberry. Expect a punchy 2.3 km course with big climb and great views, junior entries welcome and on the day entry available.

Golf Ball Fell Race is organised by Rossendale Harriers on 26 August 2026. Entry is on the day and runners should carry the recommended FRA kit, which may be checked depending on conditions.

A pop up evening running event in Kirkstall, Leeds offering 5k and 10k routes along canal-side paths. Entry is available on the night or online and runners receive a jumble medal plus food and drink options.

A short fell race of 4 km with about 120 m climb at the Show Field in St John's Chapel. Day entries cost £2 and there are separate junior races for children aged 4 to 12 plus an under 18 category.

Tackle a classic Pennines fell race in Pendleton on 29 August 2026. The 8 km course packs 457 m of ascent across rough terrain, with on the day entries and homemade cakes and a cosy village pub to reward you.

Tackle the Tripsdale Trot on 29 August 2026 at the Bilsdale Show in Chop Gate. This 5.5 mile fell race through the North York Moors climbs 1437 ft and has a junior fun race alongside. Entry is on the day.

A trail event based in Skipton with 13, 20, 34 and 50 mile routes across Pennine and Dales Way terrain, mandatory kit requirements, checkpoint provisions and tracker coverage for ultramarathon entrants.

A six hour looped trail event in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with an approximate 5.45 km loop and 71 m of elevation. Participants complete as many laps as they choose, with an aid station, bag drop, and custom finisher medals.

A seven hour timed trail challenge along the River Wear in Durham on 30 August 2026 where runners choose their distance from a 3 km minimum on a lap course, with medals, distance pins, goody bags and on-course aid stations.

Hardmoors 26.2 Roseberry in Guisborough on 30 August 2026 offers a Trail Marathon, Half Marathon and 10k with significant ascent, mandatory safety kit and downloadable maps for untaped, self navigated courses.

A seven hour Time Challenge along the River Wear in Durham on 30 August 2026, offering flexible lap distances from 3 km up to 50 km, fully signed trail course, finisher medals, distance pins and goody bag options including vegan choices.

A short fell race from Powder House Field in Hebden covering 1.50 miles with 400 feet of climb. The course leaves the Show Field, climbs to the fell top and returns downhill with walls, streams and an uphill finish.

A fell race at the Reeth Show near Reeth DL11 6AR, featuring a 2.00 mile, 3.20 km course with about 700 ft of climb to Fremington Edge then back through quarry workings and fields. Age categories run from under 9 to senior.

September 2026

Muker Show Fell Race on Wednesday 2 September 2026 is a short fell race at Muker, DL11 6QQ. The route is 1.40 miles (2.25 km) with 550 ft of climb, includes river crossings and Fremington Edge, and counts for the BOFRA Senior Championship.

A final-season evening fell race of about 8 km (5 miles) over Brown Wardle, Middle Hill and Hades Hill with 360 m ascent. It uses a 24 minute cut-off to Brown Wardle, requires mandatory FRA kit and offers pre-entry with set fees.

A trail 5 km race around Clowbridge Reservoir in Burnley with two anti clockwise laps, open to runners aged 11 and over. It is the first of a three week autumn series on 3, 10 and 17 September 2026.

A *10 km* trail race in Malham, part of the Due North Trail Trilogy, passing Malham Cove and Malham Tarn with a climb to Weets Top and a long descent. Includes drinks stations, a post-race meal, merchandise and age-category prizes.
