A 50K trail ultra from Whitby to Pickering that follows railway lines and passes eight stations. Mixed terrain with 3,322 ft of climb, marshaled checkpoints and a 13 hours completion window, open to walkers who can meet the time limit.

A point-to-point trail run from Bury to Rawtenstall alongside the East Lancashire Railway and the River Irwell. Runners try to keep pace with a steam train while supporters can ride the train; finishers receive a medal and T-shirt.

A 10 km race through the historic grounds of Floors Castle in Kelso on 12 July 2026. Mixed road and trail surfaces, a water station near 5 km, finishing refreshments, and medals and goodie bags for all finishers.

A junior fell-racing round at Whinlatter Forest Park on 12 July 2026, with races for U10 to U20 categories and mapped courses of 1.5–5.6 km. Junior entries are by pre-entry only and the event follows FRA rules.

Chapelfell Top is an AS graded 7 km fell race in St. John’s Chapel, Weardale featuring 400 m of ascent to the 703 m summit and a return on the same route. The event is organised by Durham Fell Runners and run under FRA rules.

A summer evening team relay at Golden Acre Park in Leeds on 14 July 2026. Teams of three each run a 2.75 mile trail lap, with categories for open, vets, mixed and juniors; entry limited to UKA affiliated club members.

A multi-terrain 15 km festival in Moffat held under UK Athletics rules with open and local prizes, veteran categories, junior races and a tots dash; route features a long climb, stony track section and a 4.6 mile descent back to town.

A low cost and informal summer fell race in Great Langdale featuring an 8 km route to the summit of Pike of Blisco and an unconventional beer prizegiving.

Tackle a scenic fell race from Chop Gate in the North York Moors, covering 6.1 miles with 344 m of ascent across classic moorland. Entry on the day is welcome with low fees for members and non members, and teams are catered for.

A fast, flat 10 km riverside event in Darlington offering medals and goody bags for all, competitive prizes for top finishers, and points toward a four-race series with awards in October.

An evening team relay at Derwenthaugh Country Park on 16 July, run by Derwent Valley Running Club. Teams of three, age 16 plus, must include at least one male and one female; entry is £18 per team and parking is limited.

An uphill only 6 km race with 850 m of ascent on Helvellyn from Patterdale. The course climbs via steep paths, crosses Red Tarn Basin flats, then ascends Swirral Edge with sections of easy scrambling to a summit trig point.

A technical skyrace around the Helvellyn Massif, covering 28 km with 2700 m ascent. Entrants must be 19 or older and demonstrate significant mountain running and rock climbing experience through a pre-selection vetting process.

A 57 km mountain race with 3700 m ascent around Helvellyn in the English Lake District on 18 July 2026. The course is fully marked and includes Striding Edge, Swirral Edge and Long Stile Edge with a 14.5 hour time limit.

A 29 km mountain sky race in Patterdale with 2050 m ascent over St Sunday Crag and the Eastern Fells. The fully marked course features five manned checkpoints, a supplied feed station, electronic timing and GPRS tracking.

Beyond Manchester on 18 July 2026 offers a city-centre trail and ultra that explores canals, quays and greenbelt areas around Manchester, with GPX files, waymarked routes, feed stations and medical support.

A semi technical 15 km trail around the base of Place Fell on Ullswater with 680 m ascent. Marked course, a feed station, electronic timing and a plantable Wild Flower Seed medal.

A 26 km trail Metric Marathon starting and finishing in Hebden Bridge, running out to Stoodley Pike and back. The course is waymarked with marshals, a halfway checkpoint, a water station at the turnaround and baggage storage; all finishers..

A 10 km trail race at Northumberlandia near Cramlington that uses the landform and surrounding countryside. Mixed terrain, a water station, a childrens fun run and an event village with café and stalls are included.

A fell race in Ingleton during the village Gala on 18 July 2026. The **11 km** course climbs to the summit of Ingleborough via a public footpath and returns to the gala field, and is held under FRA rules with mandatory kit checks.
