Trail Running calendar near Dufton 2026-2027

Gowbarrow Round is a 7.6 km fell race in the Lake District on Sat 20 Jun 2026. Entry is on the day only with a £5 fee and a minimum age of 16. The event is based at The Royal Hotel, Dockray, and carries FRA permit insurance.

A 7 hour timed trail along the River Wear with a fully signed loop, finishers medals and goody bags. Runners choose distances from a 3 km minimum up to 50 km with age limits and distance pins available.

A Category AS fell race in Darwen covering 4 miles / 6.4 km with 1148 ft / 350 m ascent, featuring three climbs including Darwen Tower, Jacob's Mound and the steep Aggies Staircase.
