Trail Running calendar near Clow Bridge 2026-2027

A chip-timed, fully signposted circular fell race of 30 km on footpaths, bridleways and roads around Belper on 23 August 2026. The route includes Roman roads, ancient woodland and sections of the Midshires Way.

Multi distance trail event in Preston on 23 August 2026, with 10k, half, marathon and ultra options on mainly hard surfaced park paths. Aid stations, bespoke medals and a six hour time limit are included.

A 21 kilometre waymarked trail race around Derwentwater near Keswick, Cumbria. The single lap hilly course is limited to 200 entries and offers a bespoke medal, event photos and prizes for top finishers.

A 44 kilometre trail marathon from Keswick through Borrowdale and over Scafell Pike with an unmarked mountain section requiring navigation. Entry is limited to 100 and competitors must be aged 18 or older.

A five mile trail race at Pennington Flash on 23 August 2026, organised by Leigh Harriers at Leigh Sports Village. The event is licenced by TRA and held under UK Athletics rules, with separate affiliated and unaffiliated entry prices.

A 7-mile undulating multi-terrain trail race in Leeds on 23 August 2026, organised by Valley Striders AC, running through Adel Woods, Scotland Woods and Meanwood Park with fundraising for St Gemma's Hospice.

A 21k trail run around Borrowdale based in Keswick, featuring lakeshore trails, woodland singletrack and 550 m of ascent. The course is fully marked, chip timed and supported with hydration and medical cover.

Rumble In The Jumble V is a six hour challenge in Penistone with out-and-back laps along an old railway line, offering distances from 5K to ultra. Aid stations, a choice of medals and a goody bag are provided.

Take on the Trunce 8, a classic Peak District fell race starting and finishing at Oxspring Playing Field. The 6.2 km route climbs 190 m and entry is on the day for £3, with a junior 3 km race for over 10s at £1.

A one lap trail and road race of approximately 10K at National Trust Lyme in Disley with 272 metres of ascent, full course marshals and marking, free park admission and food vendors at the Timber Yard. Entry options from £28.

Tackle Roseberry Topping on Wed 26 Aug 2026 in this classic short fell race hosted from Newton under Roseberry. Expect a punchy 2.3 km course with big climb and great views, junior entries welcome and on the day entry available.

Golf Ball Fell Race is organised by Rossendale Harriers on 26 August 2026. Entry is on the day and runners should carry the recommended FRA kit, which may be checked depending on conditions.

A midweek fell race near Bury covering about 6.5 km with 400 m of climb, held at the Hare & Hounds. The event allows teams, requires a minimum age of 16, and has a 1 hour 10 minute cutoff at Moorbottom Road.

Experience a traditional Lake District fell race at the Ennerdale Show. This event features an 8 km senior course and various junior races with registration available on the day.

A pop up evening running event in Kirkstall, Leeds offering 5k and 10k routes along canal-side paths. Entry is available on the night or online and runners receive a jumble medal plus food and drink options.

A non stop 130 mile canal towpath race from Liverpool to Leeds run under UK Athletics rules. Open to runners aged 20 and over, the event has a 40 hour limit and a limited number of unsupported entries with regular feed points.

Join the Arnison Crag Horseshoe fell race in Patterdale on Sat 29 Aug 2026, starting at King George Playing Fields as part of Patterdale Dog Day. A steep 5 km with 300 m climb, entries on the day £5, minimum age 14.

A short fell race of 4 km with about 120 m climb at the Show Field in St John's Chapel. Day entries cost £2 and there are separate junior races for children aged 4 to 12 plus an under 18 category.

Tackle a classic Pennines fell race in Pendleton on 29 August 2026. The 8 km course packs 457 m of ascent across rough terrain, with on the day entries and homemade cakes and a cosy village pub to reward you.

Tackle the Tripsdale Trot on 29 August 2026 at the Bilsdale Show in Chop Gate. This 5.5 mile fell race through the North York Moors climbs 1437 ft and has a junior fun race alongside. Entry is on the day.
