Trail Running calendar near Leongatha 2026-2027

Take on the Wild Dog Backyard Ultra at Lardner Park near Warragul on 26 June 2026, looping a 6.71 km course each hour until only one runner remains. Expect farmland trails, friendly camaraderie and true endurance testing.

A community trail running event at Devilbend Natural Features Reserve on 16 August 2026, marking the 50th running. Multiple distances are available from a Kids Mile to a 21.1 km half marathon across grass, gravel, stones and clay.

A community ultratrail at Rokeby Recreation Reserve supporting Aus Hair of the Dog Rescue, with distances from 2 km to 50 km, dog friendly rules, adaptive categories and on course aid stations to support runners and dogs.

Run the Lighthouse at Tidal River on 20 February 2027 offers trail runs from 6 km to 75 km across beaches, coastal tracks and Mt Oberon with unmarked navigation and mandatory gear requirements.

A weekend running festival in Inverloch on 13 to 14 March 2027 featuring Marathon, Half Marathon, 14 km plus Saturday 5 km and 2 km races. The coastal course includes ocean views and a finish line festival with live bands and food trucks.

The Southern Rail Trail run has been postponed to 29 May 2027. Races from 2 km to 100 km follow the Great Southern Rail Trail through towns, trestle bridges and rural Gippsland scenery.
