Baw Baw Snow Gum Run

Event details

The Snow Gum Run is scheduled for Sunday 1 March 2026 at Mount Baw Baw Resort, Victoria. The event village is at the Village Central Restaurant, 32 Currawong Road, Mount Baw Baw VIC 3833. Participants will run at altitude above 1,500 metres. In the event of a Code Red bushfire alert, bushfires or strong winds the organisers may cancel and advise an alternate date.

Age limits are set by distance: 5 years for the 1 km; 8 years for the 4 km and 7 km; 12 years for the 15 km; 16 years for the 21 km; 18 years for the 44 km. Cut off durations are published for each race category, for example longer runs have an 8 hour cut off and shorter runs have shorter cut offs.

Travel and accommodation

By car, Mount Baw Baw is about 2.5 hours from Melbourne, about 1 hour from the Latrobe Valley, and about 3 hours from the Mornington Peninsula. Several road approaches are described including the South Face Road and the Mt Baw Baw Tourist Road; last major fuel stops are listed for each route. V/Line trains run to Moe on the Gippsland line and transfers from Moe to Mt Baw Baw are available subject to minimum numbers.
