Devilbend Trail Run

The Devilbend Trail Run is an annual community event held in August at the Devilbend Natural Features Reserve in Tuerong on the Mornington Peninsula. The courses follow trails and tracks around the reservoir and through surrounding bush, with a variety of surfaces including grass, gravel, stones, mud and clay. The 21.1 km course includes a 1.5 km gravel road section.

The event offers multiple distance options to suit different participants:

  • 4 km
  • 7 km
  • 12.4 km
  • 21.1 km
  • Magic Mile for children under 13; a parent may run alongside a child for free in the Magic Mile

Funds raised by the event support the not for profit Mornington Peninsula Athletic Club. Money is used to purchase equipment for the club track at Mornington and to support junior athletes from across the Mornington Peninsula. The club runs track and field, cross country and road running programs for a range of participants.

The run takes place on reserve land at 159 Graydens Road, Tuerong, and relies on volunteers and local community businesses for organization and support. The location is near local cafés and wineries that participants and families may visit on the same day.

2026 marks the 50th running of the Devilbend event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
