One Foot in the Gargrave is a long-distance walk/run that follows a route through Malhamdale. The route is approximately *23 mile* and visits Kirkby Malham, Street Gate, Boss Moor and Eshton. The event base is Gargrave Village Hall, West Street, Gargrave, Skipton, North Yorkshire, BD23 3RD.

Grid reference SD931541 and what3words important.state.frantic are provided for location. Entrants must complete the route within nine hours. There is a cut-off at 3 pm at Checkpoint 3 (16.2 miles); anyone not through this checkpoint will be asked to retire. Due to livestock and arrangements with local farmers, dogs are not permitted.

Marshals will be present to assist and direct participants. Entries open 2 March 2026 and close 31 August 2026, with a limit of 200 entries. Entry fees listed are £12 for LDWA members and £20 for non members; if places remain, day entries would be £17 for LDWA members and £25 for non members. Limited parking is available at the village hall; additional parking is on the left side of the road on Mark House Lane, about a five minute walk from the start.
