Moo-rathon, Calf and Hen K - Hyde Hall Farm, Buntingford

The event returns for its third year at Hyde Hall Farm, SG9 0RU. It is a multi-distance trail event held within the farm grounds, with exclusive use of the main area and plenty of open space.

A heavy half marathon is set as five laps by default with the option to change to six or seven laps on the day. The ultra marathon is set as nine laps by default with the option to increase the number of laps up to twelve according to available time. There is a six-hour event cut off; a four-hour cut off applies for later starts.

The course mixes trail, grassland and some tarmac paths. A water aid station is located at the lap point. A baggage area is provided for leaving warm clothes and spare shoes. Parking is included and secure on site, with an attendant to direct vehicles and to the race number collection area.

Finishers receive a bespoke event medal or, where available, a lucky dip selection of previous medals. The event is cupless so participants should bring their own cups or bottles for refreshment refilling. A winter trail run supporting Farleigh Hospice near Woodham Ferrers offering 10 km and half marathon routes on grass, tracks and paths, with written route instructions, cupless aid stations and on-site refreshments.

Tackle a crisp 10k winter trail through Essex countryside at Trifarm, with over 95 percent off road paths and bridleways. Enjoy a friendly small field, on site parking, and post run treats plus optional swim and sauna at the venue.

A 5K self navigational trail run at Nuclear Essex on 14 February supporting the British Heart Foundation. Participants follow a checkpoint route, are asked to wear something red and receive hot chocolate and Jammie Dodgers at the finish.

Rayne'ing Medals Anniversary at Rayne Station on 15 February 2026 offers 5km to marathon options plus a 6 hour challenge on traffic-free 5.3km loops, aid stations each lap and a choice of bespoke medals.
