Moo-rathon, Calf and Hen K - Hyde Hall Farm

The event returns for its fourth year at Hyde Hall Farm, Buntingford SG9 0RU with the next race on 13/03/2027. It takes place on the farm base camp and the surrounding grounds, with exclusive use of the main area and open space.

Event cut offs vary by start and are either six hours or four hours. A heavy half marathon is set as five laps by default with the option to change to six or seven laps on the day. The standard ultra is nine laps with the possibility to increase up to twelve laps depending on available time.

The course is a trail event and includes tarmac paths, grassland and trail sections. There is a water aid station located at the lap point. Parking is included and secure on site, with an attendant to direct vehicles to parking and the start area. A baggage area is provided for warm clothes and spare shoes. Finishers receive a bespoke event medal or, where available, a lucky dip selection of previous medals. The event is cupless so participants should bring their own cups or bottles. Outrun Archway offers recurring, in-person trail runs at Whittington Park in north London. Led by queer folks, the sessions prioritize a space for all paces and typically cover about 6k on unpaved surfaces.

The inaugural Essex County Fell Championships features a new 10km course with 450m of climb. This open-entry fell race offers county prizes for qualified Essex runners. Every finisher receives a free drink.

A self navigation trail race of about 6.2 miles at Mountfitchet Castle on 19 Apr 2026, for runners aged 16 and over; entries include a £4 tea room voucher and results are published on the organiser’s website.

A limited capacity evening trail run of 5 miles for over 18s with the course run in reverse from previous years. Route files are provided beforehand and finishers can exchange their race number at the bar for a drink.
