Zelda 4 Hour

The Zelda 4 Hour is a four hour timed trail race held at Rob Wallace Park in Midland, North Carolina. The event is the sixth annual running of the race and uses the park main trail system to form repeated 2-mile laps that circle the park and the quarry lake. Runners may complete as many laps as they can within the four hour limit; completing a single lap qualifies as a finisher.

The event raises funds to support the Greater Charlotte SPCA. A GSPCA adoption event will be located at the start and finish area; adopters may take dogs on laps and the adoption process can begin at the event.

All registered runners receive a race t-shirt and a finisher medal described as a collar and dog tag. Aid is available at the start and finish each time a lap is completed; the aid station stocks basic snacks, hydration, and some hot food items. Grilled hamburgers and hot dogs will be served for lunch for runners.

Practical details include packet pickup on the Friday before the event from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Pour 64, 4410 Mint Hill Village Ln, Mint Hill, NC, and race day packet pickup at the park starting at 8:00 AM. Plumbed restrooms are available at the pavilion near the start and finish, with additional restroom facilities on the backside of the pavilion. Parking is by following posted signs to the parking lot. Volunteer shifts are offered and volunteers who stay the full event receive a code for a free future race and an event t-shirt.
