Flint's Fabulous 5K is a community 5-kilometer run and walk held on September 26, 2026 at 150 North Research Campus Drive in Kannapolis, NC. The event supports Leashes of Valor, a national nonprofit that provides fully trained service dogs to post 9/11 veterans at no cost to the veteran. For 2026 this is the third annual running of the event and it is part of the Run Kannapolis race series.

Registration includes a base fee with optional add-on donations that fund specific training needs. The base registration with a race shirt and training treats is shown as $30.88 total, and a no-shirt registration option is shown as $23.39 total. Add-on donation levels are described to cover items used by foster and training families such as food, leashes, bowls, vests, beds, vaccinations, and handler training. The organizer states that all proceeds will go to Leashes of Valor and dog training resources. Leashes of Valor notes that training for a service dog begins at about 8 weeks of age and continues until roughly 1.5 to 2.0 years, and that an average fully trained service dog costs about $30,000.

The event is dog friendly; participants are asked to bring well socialized dogs and to clean up after them. Packet pickup procedures note that shirts, bibs, and safety pins are distributed at packet pickup or at the start/finish area, and finisher bags are handed out at the finish line.
