Charity and Impact

The event serves as a fundraiser for Leashes of Valor, a national non-profit organization that provides highly-trained service dogs to post-9/11 veterans at no cost. Proceeds from registration fees and additional donations support the training and resources required to pair service dogs with veterans managing symptoms of PTSD, traumatic brain injury, and other conditions. The organization often sources dogs from local animal shelters and rescue organizations.

Participant Information

The event is open to both runners and walkers. It is a dog-friendly race, provided that pets are well-socialized and owners clean up after them. Registration includes options for a race shirt if completed by September 11, though registration remains open through race day. Participants receive a bib, safety pins, and a finisher bag.

Packet pickup is available both the day before the event and at the start line on the morning of the race. Raffle tickets are available for purchase during packet pickup and on race day.
