Feed Charlotte 5K

The Feed Charlotte 5K is a community run and walk organized by the Stride Forward Foundation, a nonprofit organization established by high school students from the Charlotte area. The event serves as a fundraiser to support local food banks, with all profits donated to organizations that provide meals and resources to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity in North Carolina.

The event takes place at McAlpine Creek Park in Charlotte. The 5 km course consists of scenic trails that are frequently used for significant athletic competitions, including local and regional high school races such as the Brooks South XC Regional Championships. The route is accessible to participants of various fitness levels, whether they are running to set a personal time or walking to spend time outdoors.

Participants who complete their registration by July 17, 2026, and attend the event or the scheduled packet pickup are guaranteed a race t-shirt in their requested size. For those who register after this date, t-shirts are available based on remaining stock. Additionally, the event offers a Sleep-in Supporter category for individuals who wish to contribute to the fundraising goal without participating in the physical race. This category also includes a t-shirt, which must be collected during the packet pickup period. The race is conducted rain or shine at McAlpine Creek Park.
