Feed Charlotte 5K - Turning Miles Into Meals
The Feed Charlotte 5K is presented by the Stride Forward Foundation, a nonprofit founded by Charlotte area high school students. The event is scheduled for August 8, 2026 at McAlpine Creek Park, 8711 Monroe Rd, Charlotte, NC 28212.
All profits from the event will be donated to food banks in the Charlotte area. The event page lists $270.51 raised toward a $4,000 goal (7% raised). The organizers reference Feeding America estimates that 1 in 5 children and 1 in 7 people experience food insecurity in North Carolina.
The 5K course follows the trails of McAlpine Creek Park and is the same course used for large local and regional high school races, including the Brooks South XC Regional Championships. The event is open to people of all ages and fitness levels. A guaranteed race t-shirt in the registered size is offered to those registered by July 17, 2026 who attend the event or packet pickup; registrants on or after July 18 may choose from remaining sizes while supplies last.
Registration options include a standard 5K entry and a Sleep-in Supporter option that requires t-shirt pickup at packet pickup and does not include shipping. Registration fees vary by date. Race policies state there are no refunds unless the Refund Protection Program was purchased, Race Management may cancel or modify the event, fees are not refundable if cancellation is due to Acts of God, and the race will be held rain or shine.
