Sundown Trail Races : Fort Mill, SC

Sundown Trail Races is a six-race trail series held at Anne Springs Close Greenway in Fort Mill, South Carolina, running from May 6 to August 5, 2026. The series is organized by the Anne Springs Close Greenway Run Club and takes place on Wednesdays in May, June, July, and August.

Courses range 3 to 5 miles and use a combination of single track and gravel road on the ASC Greenway trails near the Lake Haigler entrance. Events are scheduled to run rain or shine; if a race is canceled because of severe weather, the make-up date is the first Wednesday of September.

The series structure includes both individual race awards and series prizes. Half of the events will award door prizes open to all participants, and the other half will present awards for finishing places. Series champions are determined with a points system that rewards the top male, top female, and overall champion; each participant’s four best finishes are used for series scoring. Due to capacity limits, series registrations will not receive swag, though online registration and race day registration are noted as available.

After each race the Gateway Canteen at the Greenway will offer food and beverage options. The course and event location address is 2573 Lake Haigler Drive, Fort Mill, SC 29715. Participant count listed: 148. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
