This event is the original Yuba Gold point-to-point 50K course from South Yuba Campground to Bear Valley near Nevada City, CA. It takes place during October 1 to October 31, 2026. Registration for the event closes on October 30 at 11:59 PM PT.

The event is run as a Hybrid format, described as DIY or self-guided. Despite a "Virtual" banner, the event is not virtual; participants must complete the physical course. Runners may undertake the course alone or with others, and may use aid provided by friends.

Each participant must run the full course continuously in a single effort within the designated month. After completing the course, participants submit an activity link as proof of completion. Results must be submitted within one week of the event closing to be recorded.
