This event uses the original Yuba Gold 50K point to point course from South Yuba Campground to Bear Valley, located near Nevada City, CA. The course is offered as a hybrid self-guided event during October 1 to 31, 2026.

Participants complete the course on their own, with friends, and may use aid provided by companions. Although a virtual banner appears, the event is not virtual; runners must complete the full course continuously in a single effort within the specified date range. A GPX file for the route is provided.

After completing the course, runners submit results with an activity link as proof of completion. Submitted results are ranked and finisher awards are issued. Results must be submitted within one week after the event closes. Registration for the event closes on October 30, 2026.
