Race distances and key details
- 50K - two out-and-back segments; mostly single track; 3,875 ft climb
- 13.1M - two lollipop loops on the canyon rim; 1,920 ft climb
- 5M - out-and-back following the first 5 miles of the half; ~700 ft climb; walkers permitted
There are four unique aid stations on course; the 50K uses Aid 1-4, the 13.1M uses Aid 2 and Aid 3, and the 5M has no aid stations. Event swag includes a commemorative cider glass and a Sunset & Cider tee shirt; cider pours are provided for participants 21+. Top finishers receive custom wood plaques or standing awards, and age-group awards are given for 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+. The 50K qualifies toward the Sierra Ultra Trifecta. The Unity Initiative offers donation matching up to $40 or 25% of a registration fee for selected nonprofit partners; donations must be made in 2025 before the event.
