All courses are mostly single track trails with a short neighborhood road section and are described as runnable. Climbing totals are: 50K - 3,760 ft, Half Marathon - 1,890 ft, 5M - 704 ft. The 50K includes two out-and-back segments; the Half Marathon has two out-and-back loops; the 5M is one out-and-back following the first 5 miles of the half marathon course. Aid stations with water, sports drink, light snacks, and fruit are at 50K miles 3.8, 10.5, 17.0, 20.9, and 25.6; half marathon miles 3.8, 4.8, and 8.7. The 5M has no aid stations. The event lists a finish cutoff of 7:00 PM for the main distances; walkers are welcome on the 5M.
Awards, swag, and community programs
Post-event activities at Ponderosa Cider Company include cider pours and commemorative items. All participants receive a commemorative cider glass and those 21+ are eligible for at least one complimentary cider pour; the first 200 registrants receive a BOCO trail running hat. Age group awards are given for 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+. The Unity Initiative offers matched donations to selected nonprofit partners and may provide a future race discount when proof of donation is provided.
