The Good Dog-Dirty Dog Trail Runs take place at Granite Beach within the Folsom Lake State Recreation Area in Granite Bay, California. This event is designed for walkers and runners, providing options to participate individually or alongside their dogs. The course features aid stations located at the halfway point to support both human participants and their canine companions.
Participants can choose from several distances:

- 5 km
- 1 mile
The event includes a specific "Runner only - No Dog" category, which offers individual awards for the top male and female finishers. For those running with dogs, awards are presented to the first, second, and third place finishers across various divisions based on the dog's weight. Weights range from small dogs under 25 lbs to extra-large dogs up to 140 lbs and above.
Every competitor receives a finisher medal, and those running with a dog also receive a race bandana for their pet. While participants can sign up with one dog, additional dogs may be registered for an extra fee. Commemorative race t-shirts are available for purchase via pre-order.
